Ceramic Wall Installations
I create handcrafted ceramic wall compositions that transform walls into tactile artworks, starting from original illustrations created by me and combining visual research, symbolism and the expressive qualities of clay.
My work is rooted in the ancient heritage of Sardinia, drawing inspiration from Nuragic symbols and elements connected to the island’s history, nature and Mediterranean identity.
Through a contemporary interpretation of these references, I transform ancient imagery into unique ceramic compositions that connect memory, material and space.
The process
From Drawing to Material
Each installation begins with a phase of research and an hand drawn illustration.
Symbols, forms and narratives are first developed through drawings and then translated into three-dimensional ceramic artworks.
Handcrafted Ceramics
Each piece is hand-shaped and one of a kind, inspired by Sardinia’s landscapes, Nuragic heritage, and ancient folklore.
Shardana
